The first morning of the Christmas holidays in Limousin starts with a family treasure hunt in the medieval town of Eymoutiers. Just download the free geocaching app Tèrra Aventura and off you go on your adventure! 🎯

Stop off at ChouBeurrePomme where their exquisite homemade pastries will be like an early Christmas present for your taste buds. 🧁

You’ll also want to visit the tourist office, where you’ll find not only expert advice but also a shop selling regional products to treat your loved ones this Christmas: birch sap cosmetics, herbal teas from Les Fées Cueillettes, wooden games, apple juice, jams, etc. 🎁

After a bite to eat at L’échoppe pelaude, bye bye Eymoutiers and hello Limoges! We love its entertainment and its big Christmas market, which takes place throughout December. Who’s up for a sledge ride or a giant ice rink? Or a ride on the little train? 🎅

Then we end the day with delicacies and light. At the foot of the old bridge is the Pont Saint Etienne, a renowned restaurant offering a “petit gastronome” menu for your little ones! Nature and adventure for the Christmas holidays

Round off your Christmas holiday in Limousin with “nature’s Christmas lights”: the breathtaking scenery of the Millevaches Regional Nature Park, the sparkling expanse of the Lac de Vassivière and its jagged shores will put stars in your eyes… 🤍
Maybe the snow will even join in the fun! Come on, bundle up and take the kids for a ride. On foot, by bike, on horseback or on the back of a donkey, it’s up to you! 🚴‍♀️🐴 🥾

Our tip: a trip to the Ile de Vassivière ! There’s so much to see there: the Bois de Sculptures and its open-air contemporary artworks, the Jardin des simples and its collection of aromatic and medicinal plants, the Centre International d’Art et du Paysage and its workshops for children… 🤩
The more adventurous will go on another treasure hunt with Tèrra Aventura. The more sporty will try their hand at climbing the 106 steps of the island lighthouse to enjoy the panoramic view over the lake. 🌊

Then head to the restaurant l’Atelier in Royère de Vassivière to savour the local gastronomy one last time and bargain hunt in their boutique area ( it’s almost as good as a Christmas market!). 💝
