For motorsport enthusiasts, head to Pageas, to the Renardières go-kart track. There, you’ll find the largest open-air circuit in Limousin! Set in the heart of nature, on a 1200-meter outdoor track, you can enjoy go-karts for both kids and adults (approved for leisure and competition).

After the effort, the reward! A bar with light snacks awaits you on-site, and a lovely terrace with a view of the track lets you admire the racing cars. Intense moments and unforgettable memories at full speed are guaranteed! 🏎️🏎️🏎️

Espace Hermeline is a giant open-air playground in the heart of nature. You’re bound to find something to suit every member of the family here: accrobranche, rando-tyro, mega-tyrolienne, labyrinthe des hermines, vélorail, petit train, mini-golf, fishing, orienteering, hiking, swimming and more. The hardest part will be choosing!

🎶 The Sentier musical de Pageas invites you to discover the original relationship between local plant species and musical instruments. The short 1.4 km loop, which can be walked in one to two hours, depending on your mood and the pace of your discoveries, takes you through a pretty little arboretum of trees used in violin making, before entering a charming wooded estate: trees, shrubs and flowers are explained using small signs. Walkways, picnic tables and benches invite you to enjoy the sounds of nature and relax.🪘🪇

Two educational huts also line the route, and a booklet accompanying the visit is available at the entrance. A great idea for a stroll, whether you’re on your own or with the whole family!

What’s more relaxing than a stop by the water?

Just 15 minutes from Châlus, one of the starting points of the Voie Verte des Hauts de Tardoire, you’ll find several lakes with sandy beaches perfect for lounging: Lac Saint-Fortunat in Flavignac, or the Espace Hermeline lake in Bussière-Galant.

And 15 minutes from Oradour-sur-Vayres, at the other end of the Voie Verte, come and take a dip at the Plan d’eau de Saint-Mathieu! 🏖️

Fancy a half-day’s fishing? Not far from the Voie Verte, you can try your hand at fishing on our lakes for just a few hours. For beginner anglers, we recommend starting out on a “discovery” or “family” course designed to make things easier for you. And conveniently, there’s one less than 15 km from the Voie Verte (near Châlus) at the Espace Hermeline lake. On site, you’ll find all the information you need to go fishing independently: authorized fishing techniques, available fish species, authorized dates for each species, places where fishing permits can be purchased, etc. Alternatively, we also recommend Etang du Ronlard in Les Cars, a popular family fishing spot!

If you’re in the Châlus area, don’t miss a visit to the Pays de Châlus ecomuseum, which offers an opportunity to explore the history, heritage, and local traditions through furniture, tools, and utensils from the past. A permanent exhibition showcases these objects in a setting that reflects the lifestyle of rural Limousin during the 19th and 20th centuries.

🌳 A walk through the Boubon Forest on the trail of the same name is a perfect family outing. The 6.5 km loop takes about 1.5 hours to complete, with no significant difficulty—except for the temptation to stop frequently and explore the many curiosities along the way. Highlights include a stunning view of the Monts de Blond, the “Trou du Maquis,” the charming sunken path “Les Cavailles,” the old Boubon grain mill, a clédier in the hamlet of Vergnolas, a woodcutter’s hut, land art installations, and more. This forest is brimming with fascinating heritage, making it a must-see!
