Every night, he tells the same story, repeats the same gestures, and calls out for his mother. Every night, she asks for the same story and the same gestures all over again.
Every night, they cry, they laugh, they go over the same old routines, cherish the same hopes, and face the same disappointments.
But tonight is a new night. Will they finally—or so they believe—be heard by distinguished guests invited to listen to their message? The elderly are orchestrating their departure, working hard to organize the space and stage the speech they have spent a lifetime writing.
