Description
Embark on a getaway aboard a historic railcar departing from the Bénédictins station. Passenger check-in begins at 9:15 a.m., followed by a guided tour of the station, which is designated a historic monument. (Guided by volunteers from the association.)
The train departs at 10:35 a.m. (arriving in Aixe-sur-Vienne at 11:07 a.m.) and reaches Saint-Junien at 11:35 a.m., traveling through the landscapes of the Vienne Valley at a reduced speed. You’ll then have more than four hours to explore its collegiate church, its grain market, and the area’s rich industrial heritage, particularly the leather district. (10% discount for adults only upon presentation of the “Autorail Limousin” train ticket). Return at 3:50 p.m. from Saint-Junien (stopping at Aixe-sur-Vienne at 4:20 p.m.), arriving in Limoges at 4:55 p.m.
