A sporting adventure

The Tour du Limousin, created in 1968, is a stage cycle race that takes place in the Limousin region, now extended to the Périgord and Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The competition aims to showcase the region’s landscapes and cultural heritage while providing a high-level platform for professional cyclists.

The tour generally comprises 4 varied stages, attracting international teams and promoting the discovery of local riches through a popular and festive sporting event 🎉.

DID YOU KNOW?

Since 2021, the event has been called the Tour du Limousin – Périgord – Nouvelle-Aquitaine to reflect the inclusion of a stage in the Dordogne on its route.

On the programme

This annual cycle race, which takes place over 4 days in August, traverses the varied landscapes of the Limousin 🤩.

The 2026 edition crosses the Haute-Vienne and includes stages in Veyrac, Nantiat and Limoges.

The tour attracts 19 professional teams and offers intense competition, while also showcasing local heritage and culture with various events for spectators.
