2. Rochechouart interpretation trails
Between nature, games and meteoritesMeet up in front of Rochechouart Castle for a family walk! Rochechouart is where a meteorite fell 200 million years ago, and the Astroblème interpretation trail (2km) will take you on a journey of discovery. Starting out from the castle walkways, you’ll find explanatory panels, a clear view and wooden games along the way. This trail can be complemented by the pond interpretation trail (1.3km), which takes you to the Boischenu pond, where you can enjoy picnic tables and children’s games, as well as a restaurant if you need one: a great programme for a walk with children!


3. The garden of the senses

4. The fortress of Châlucet

5. Lake Uzurat
Nature and leisure area in LimogesThis 8-hectare lake north of Limoges in Limousin is an ideal leisure area for families and sports enthusiasts. A wide 1.5km path allows you to walk or cycle around the lake, and several leisure areas are freely accessible: picnic tables, barbecue areas, games for all ages from 3 to 12 and a health and fitness area. Lac d’Uzurat is the place to be on Wednesday afternoons when you’re out and about with the kids!
6. The Épagne forest interpretation trail
Sauviat-sur-VigeIn the heart of a remarkable forest classified as a Natura 2000 site, the 4km interpretation trail offers 12 different ways to discover the site’s natural and historical resources. This magical wood is home to plants that are rare in our region: anemone, bear’s garlic, periwinkle… as well as discreet inhabitants such as otters, salamanders and black woodpeckers. A great nature walk to do with children in Limousin!


7. Santrop beach
At the Saint-Pardoux lakeOn the banks of Lake Saint-Pardoux, Santrop beach is a must for a family day out in the Haute-Vienne. There’s plenty of space for children to play, a play area suitable for ages 2 to 10, picnic areas and, in summer, an inflatable aquapark for safe fun. Numerous hiking trails are available to enjoy the natural beauty of the site. The perfect way to spend a Wednesday or a weekend with the kids.
8. Lake Saint-Fortunat
In FlavignacClose to the town of Flavignac en Limousin, Lac Saint-Fortunat is a great place to relax and enjoy family outings. The site is equipped for everyone’s leisure: children’s play area, petanque pitch, table tennis, volleyball area and fitness trail. In summer, you can also take advantage of the supervised beach and refreshment area. Fishing is available six months of the year.
