1. Tour of the Artige priory
at Saint-Léonard de Noblat ~ 8km ~ 2hA short 8km walk in Saint Léonard de Noblat in the Limousin countryside. Ideal for stretching your faithful companion’s legs without tiring him out too much. 🍃
Great open spaces, picturesque little hamlets and undergrowth for some welcome shade in fine weather and to cool your paws on a soft carpet of leaves. And then sheep and cows to watch in the meadows to stimulate your sense of observation. Hop, grab the lead and let’s get on with the adventure! 🐕🦺
(For the record, the dog pictured here (now in doggie heaven) was the trail’s mascot. He belonged to a family who lived on the trail and used to accompany hikers on their walks. So a quick thought for the late Gustave! ) 🙏
2. Lake Saint-Pardoux
to Saint-Pardoux le Lac ~ 24km ~ 6hDid you know? The loop around the Lac de Saint-Pardoux is always a delight for young and old alike, but also… for furballs. It’s definitely one of our best walks to do with your dog! 🐶
Easily accessible to everyone, it’s the perfect place for a leisurely stroll or run with your pet. A thousand and one scents will delight their senses along the way, making the lake a little corner of paradise for them. 💦
Don’t forget your leash, as the Saint-Pardoux lake is very popular with nature lovers! 💚

3. The Boiling Pot
in Saint-Sulpice-les-Feuilles ~ 3km ~ 1 to 2 hoursA place to take the whole family and your companion: it’s the boiling pot. Here, there’s a Terrà Aventura course for humans and a rocky setting for leaping from rock to rock for dogs. The river also provides cooling off in summer and offers an ideal spot for everyone. 🌞
There are also plenty of natural caves to explore with your truffle or eyes along the way. 🐾
We don’t recommend it in winter, however, when there may be some current. ⚠️
4. The Hautes Forêts path
to Marval ~ 13.1km ~ 3h15In Haute-Vienne, it’s easy to find yourself alone with your dog in wide open spaces. 🌿
Hiking the high forest path will give you the feeling of freedom you’re looking for. No one on the horizon, except magnificent landscapes and vast areas of preserved nature to frolic in with your pooch. 🐕
A variant of the route allows you to shorten the hiking distance, depending on your mood. ️

5. The Demoiselles trail
to Bussière-Galant ~ 16km ~ 4hIf you’ve got a dog that needs to stretch its legs, this is the hike for him! 🐾
A lot of climbing and quite a few miles to cover await you on the Demoiselles trail, which lies in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin, on the edge of the Dordogne. The paths wind beneath the coppice of chestnut trees and forest massifs, and beautiful views will reward your effort. 🌳
The route is 16 kilometres long, but has the advantage of being nowhere near any major roads, making it much easier to walk with your dog! 👍
