On a plateau overlooking the Briance and Blanzou valleys opposite Pierre Buffière, the Gallo-Roman remains of Villa d'Antone are emerging from the past as the work undertaken by volunteers from the Association Dupuytren Mémoire Vivante progresses.
The site came into being 2000 years ago, during the first century of the Christian era. The country lived in peace under the Antonine dynasty, the PAX ROMANA, which lasted for three centuries. Site open from April to October. Guided tours by prior arrangement. Activities are available for teachers, organizers and educators for children and schoolchildren.
