It dates back to the 13th century and takes its name from the Grandmontain monks (abbey some 20 km away). In ancient times, it was located on one of the major routes between Limoges and Argenton-sur-Creuse. Its humpback-shaped deck rests on 3 pointed barrel arches and 2 piers.
