Former keep of the motte castle built in the 12th century and deliberately set on fire by its owner in 1553. Solid and remarkably well-built, it testifies to the wealth of its builder: the Viscount of Limoges. As the ground floor has no door to better defend itself against attackers, the entrance is 6 m above ground level. The 2nd and 3rd floors were probably separated by a floor. Communication from one floor to the other must have been via ladders.
