The Chapelle de la Visitation was acquired by the Conseil Départemental de la Haute-Vienne in 2007. Listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments, this building has been a revolutionary court, a prison, a military barracks, a theater, a library and a school. Following major renovation work carried out by the Département, this historic site is now back to the cultural role it played in the 70s and 80s, with its reopening to the public in autumn 2016.
