Description
To close the Festival, 1001 Notes presents a grand concert of sharing, joy and emotion.
Singer Mariam, an emblematic figure on the Bamako scene, brings her warm, luminous voice to the stage.
She is joined by balafon master Lansiné Kouyaté, heir to a long line of griots, and multi-instrumentalist Patrick Bebey, who blends tradition and modernity. They are surrounded by the Trans Cover Express, the Orchestre 1001 Notes and the choir, conducted by Chloé Meyzie.
The program revisits Amadou & Mariam?s repertoire, mixed with great African songs and reinvented classical works, from Ravel to Bach, with African colors, not forgetting Pata Pata, Soul Makossa or Folon.
Reservations essential on the ticketing link or on sale at the Limoges Tourist Office.
