Around the world in tangos with Armenonville. The roots of tango are lost among African, Cuban and European influences. L'Armenonville explores the tortuous paths of this music full of poetic imagination. More than a concert, it's a musical voyage around the world. L'Armenonville is a tango ensemble born of the desire to blend Argentine tango with tangos from other parts of the world. In 2019, the group recorded Tour du monde en tangos, a musical journey from Japan to Iceland, via Turkey, France and, of course, Argentina. it explores a singular and little-known repertoire of tangos, waltzes and milongas. Supported by original arrangements, the ensemble of violin, bandoneon, guitar and double bass plays with energy and sensitivity.
