Discover Georges Guingouin's maquis: the Association des Créateurs et Amis du Musée de la Résistance and the Peyrat le Château town council invite you to discover or rediscover the museum on a free, open-air visit during the Nuit des Musées. The exhibition rooms present the commitment of G. Guingouin, "figure of the Resistance", the birth and actions of the maquis, but also the tragedies of Tulle and Oradour sur Glane, the internment camps in Haute-Vienne and the Nazi concentration and extermination camps. You can also discover the re-enactment of the German surrender in Limoges, and watch the documentary "Première Brigade", featuring the testimonies of fellow members of the maquis. Volunteers from the museum association will be on hand to guide you and answer any questions you may have.
