Description
First formed in 1974, the Stranglers? no-nonsense attitude was adopted by the punk movement of the late 1970s. But their musical talent and menacing edge transcended the genre, creating a sound all their own. Their first three albums ("Rattus Norvegicus", "No More Heroes" and "Black and White") were released in just 13 months, and earned them hit singles such as "Peaches", "No More Heroes" and "Walk On By". Further hits followed with "Always The Sun", "Strange Little Girl" and the mercurial "Golden Brown", among many others, helping the band to score 24 Top 40 singles and 20 Top 40 albums in a career spanning six decades.
