A much-anticipated event

Every year, ‘ Randonnez-vous ’ in Haute-Vienne invites young and old alike to discover the department’s landscapes through a series of friendly walks. This event, which has become a highlight of the year, showcases the natural, heritage and cultural riches of the various regions of Haute-Vienne 👀

On the programme: routes suitable for all abilities, allowing you to enjoy varied panoramic views, explore charming villages and uncover the secrets of iconic sites. It’s also the perfect opportunity to spend time with family or friends, combining exercise, discovery and fun 🍃🥾

But ‘ Randonnez-vous ’ isn’t just about hiking: each event concludes in a festive atmosphere. Entertainment, workshops, music and games round off the day, offering a friendly experience that’s accessible to everyone 🥳

Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat and the Pays Monts et Barrages

Set off to explore the Pays Monts et Barrages, a rolling landscape steeped in history and legend. With its rivers, forests, traditional villages and unspoilt countryside, this area offers a chance to immerse yourself in the heart of peaceful natural surroundings.

Your walk will take you to Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat, a town full of character and a historic stop-off point, where a warm welcome awaits you on the Place de la République with music, wooden games, face painting for children and entertainment for the whole family.

Discover the courses

The four routes for the 2026 event: 

  • 5 km – Escape: suitable for everyone, this loop is ideal for a family walk in Haute-Vienne, starting from the historic centre of Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat.
  • 9 km – Discovery: an intermediate route designed to explore the country lanes, woodland and rolling countryside surrounding the village of Champnétery.
  • 17 km – Challenge: a more demanding route that takes you deep into wooded areas and valleys, with a section passing through the La Geneytouse area.
  • 27 km – Expert: the most technical route of the day, featuring significant elevation gain, linking the outskirts of Bujaleuf with the hills of the Pays Monts et Barrages, for experienced walkers.
