Description
A play for 7 performers.
Raphaelle Boitel, direction and choreography.
Hanging by a thread, silhouettes encased in overcoats on their coat racks: the scene illustrates the dreamlike and burlesque nature of this highly aesthetic performance.
At the crossroads of circus and dance, Rapha%EBlle Boitel creates a tale of light and shadow, summoning fallen angels into a world where machines have taken power. Under their control, humans gaze at one another without truly seeing each other in a ballet that is both funny and unsettling. One of them will refuse to accept this established order, driven by the desire to live.
Articulated mechanical arms, metallic structures, and a moving Chinese pole: these are the apparatus around which the seven acrobats rebel. They dance and soar through the air, embodying hope in this imaginary society ruled by totalitarianism.
Running time: 1 hour 10 min
