Introduced from childhood to the dances of the Maghreb and Arab-Andalusian music, Filipe Louren%E7o approaches traditional dances as a heritage to be reinvented. Following his piece *Cheb*, presented in late 2023 at the MAD, he draws inspiration for this new creation from the *ahidous*. This group dance of the Berber tribes of the Middle Atlas, accompanied by singing and percussion, is performed during festivals, weddings, or rituals. Drawing on this ancestral form, the choreographer transforms this tradition into a space for creativity and empowerment.
Co-production with the Opéra de Limoges.
Running time: 1 hour.
