In the medieval city of Saint-Léonard de Noblat, we like to put the arts and crafts centre stage. Every year in summer and at Christmas, professionals from the métiers d’art exhibit themselves in an ephemeral boutique to promote the savoir-faire of the Limousin during the“Léon’Arts”.

Saint-Léonard de Noblat, a land of expertise

Labelled ” Ville et Métiers d’Art “, the town of Saint-Léonard de Noblat is home to many art craftsmen who perpetuate ancestral skills. The arts of fire vibrate here, the paper is handmade, the tanning is intended to be vegetable.

While paper pulp is kneaded at the Moulin du Got, kaolin is metamorphosed in the workshops of the Porcelaines Carpenet, clay twirls at Marie-France, the leather transforms under the effect of tan and time… so continues the ballet both artistic and technical of our craftsmen!

Les Léon’Arts

The town of Saint-Léonard de Noblat is lending its support to these goldsmiths of Limousin know-how by organising the “Léon’Arts, Vitrines des métiers d’art “.

Les Vitrines des métiers d’art des “Léon’Arts” are a major exhibition-sale of arts and crafts from Saint-Léonard de Noblat and its region held every year in the summer and at Christmas.

Another event to mark in the diary is the “Léon’Arts, Rencontres des Métiers d’art”. This festive arts and crafts day celebrates the exceptional skills of our craftspeople. Previously held on 14 July, it now takes place on the weekend following 15 August at the same time as the Medieval Festival!
