For this year’s “rentrée des pros”, the 40 tourism professionals in attendance were welcomed by over 130 species from all over the world! Accompanied by Marie-Ange Soret and Nicolas Lefrère, they were given a behind-the-scenes look at the park, its lodges with unusual views and its château, a space for hosting events. A moment of reunion after the 2024 summer season, rounded off by a drink of local produce.
Visits to the must-see sites continued at Aixe-sur-Vienne, in the company of Guillaume de Villelume, owner of the premises. A fascinating and passionate visit that ended with a tasting of a local pastry: Le Toinou.

Visiting, learning, meeting and exchanging are the key words of these events, which last from 2h30 to the whole day, depending on the subject. If you operate a tourism business in Haute-Vienne, these days are made for you.
Don’t hesitate to sign up! It will also be an opportunity to share your experiences and meet other professionals from the department.

October was marked by a meeting on the ” accueil vélo” and “accueil rando” qualifications, covering the 4 main areas of the region: north-west in Le Dorat, south-west in Saint-Priest-sous-Aixe, north-east in Razès and south-east in Bujaleuf. This was an opportunity for tourism service providers to find out more about these qualifications for their establishments, with a view to improving the quality of their welcome for these types of travelers, who are numerous in the Haute-Vienne region but have yet to be won over.
A particular focus was placed on the Vélidéale, a new cycle tourism route running from Vassivière along the Vienne river to Saint-Nazaire, via Rochechouart. The development and referencing of the offer along this route is at the heart of the département’s strategy, and prompted reactions from our service providers, some of whom have already had the pleasure of welcoming cyclotourists using this cycle route in recent months.
