A historic district

In the heart of Limoges’ historic quarter, this pedestrianised alleyway links the Place de la Motte to the Chapel of Saint-Aurélien.

Lined with half-timbered houses, it bears witness to the golden age of the guild of butchers who worked here since the Middle Ages.

Saved from demolition in the 1970s, it has regained its authenticity and is now home to restaurants, shopkeepers, galleries and cafés, offering a warm atmosphere where heritage and art de vivre meet. 👀

Why is the Quartier de la Boucherie a must?
