Quartier De La Boucherie Limoges

Cours Du Temple Limoges

Quartier De La Boucherie Limoges
Discover this historic district with its typical Limoges half-timbered architecture. The traditional butchers’ house at number 36 tells the story of the butchers’ families who lived in these houses. If time permits, we recommend that you take a guided tour by contacting the tourist office. As you make your way up the butchers’ quarter before reaching the Place de la Motte, we recommend that you pass through the Place de la Barreyrette. On this charming little square you’ll find photos of the Frairie des petits ventres.
Once you’ve made your way up the butcher’s quarter, we suggest you make a short stop at the Place de la Motte and discover the magnificent Halles centrales, which have recently been renovated. If you’re passing through in the morning, we advise you to go inside and soak up the atmosphere.
