A new day begins on your family holiday in Limoges!
Morning: After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take you to discover theaquarium, just a short walk away (6 minutes) 🐡. Here you’ll discover its 3,800 aquatic animals in an atypical location that was once a former vaulted city water reservoir. 🐠
Noon: A visit to the aquarium is very tiring! Head to the upper floor on your way out of the aquarium, where several options are available: Enjoy a Limousin burger at Tucks Brothers or a Pizza Mojo or for a budget a sandwich with focaccia bread at Li’s sandwich from €5. 😋
Afternoon: Depending on the weather, which can be capricious at times in our beautiful Limousin, we offer several activities.
If it’s raining ☔️ or very hot 🥵 :
- Guided tour of the souterrain de la règle with the Limoges tourist office: discover this former storage site of the Abbaye de la règle filled with history.
- Museum visit: Musée National Adrien Dubouché, which conveys the richness of Limoges porcelain across continents and centuries. You’ll also discover a modern exhibit featuring Limoges porcelain as seen through the eyes of designers. The Musée des Beaux Arts, with its emphasis on enamel work. The Casseaux kiln, a listed historic monument that bears witness to the history of Limoges porcelain.
If the sun is part of your holiday ☀️:
- Take a stroll in the Jardin de l’Évêché, a favorite spot for Limoges locals when the sun comes out.
- Take a Food Mood Tour: set off on a 3-hour walking tour of Limoges’ most beautiful districts, with sweet and savoury stops along the way. Don’t eat too much beforehand, as portions are generous.
- Discover Limoges in 87 minutes with a guide from the tourist office.
And what about the snack break? 🤔

And don’t forget shopping! 🛍️ The Limoges tourist office has put together a shopping itinerary for you to enjoy in local and independent boutiques, which you can collect directly from the office.
Evening: Join us at Chez Alphonse for a meal of traditional Limousin cuisine using local produce. Once you’ve finished eating, you can take a digestive stroll with a nocturnal Terra Aventura in search of the Poizs.
