A new day begins on your family holiday in Limoges!

Morning: After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take you to discover theaquarium, just a few steps away (6 minutes on foot) 🐡. Here you’ll discover its 3,800 aquatic animals in an atypical location that was once an old vaulted water reservoir in the city. 🐠

Noon: A visit to the aquarium packs quite a punch! Head to the top floor on your way out of the aquarium, where there are several options: Enjoy a burger Limousin at Tucks Brothers or a Pizza Mojo or for a small budget a sandwich with focaccia bread at Li’s sandwich from €5. 😋

Afternoon: Depending on the weather, which can be capricious at times in our beautiful Limousin, we suggest several activities.

If it rains ☔️ or is very hot 🥵 :

• Guided tour of the souterrain de la règle with the Limoges tourist office: discover this former storage site of the Abbaye de la règle full of history.
• Visit the museums:Adrien Dubouché National Museum, which passes on the richness of Limoges porcelain across different continents and centuries. You will discover a modern piece with Limoges porcelain as seen by designers. The Musée des Beaux Arts, with its emphasis on enamel work. The Casseaux kiln, a listed historic monument that bears witness to the history of Limoges porcelain.

If the sun is part of your holiday ☀️:

• Take a stroll in the Jardin de l’Évêché, a favourite spot for Limoges locals when the sun comes out.

Head to the Halles centrales in Limoges for a delicious brunch at the corner of the Halles. On the menu: scrambled eggs, charcuterie, cheese, etc.

After brunch, we invite you to stroll around the Halles, which is very lively on Sunday mornings, and stock up on local produce: galetous at Les Saveurs Limousines, pâté de pommes de terre, flognarde, Limousin à la châtaigne etc. at Pascalain – Tripes et Cie and many other local traders.
