A village marked by religious dissent
In the 19th century, this Catholic village saw the arrival of a large number of Protestants. The village split into 2 parts, with Catholics on one side and Protestants on the other. Each side has its own religious building, the temple for the Protestants and the church for the Catholics. Each side lives autonomously, but tensions have often erupted. This religious history is still present today, with the two religious buildings on either side of the Villefavard farm.
