What’s “Limousin”?

It’s THE GAULT & MILLAU award-winning signature cake from Maison Pascalin!

A pure Haut-Viennois product, Limousin is a cake made with chestnut purée, eggs and butter. Once baked in the oven, the preparation is covered with a chocolate topping that adds a thin, crunchy film to the cake. The rest of the recipe is secretly guarded and protected by its creators at Pascalain.

To be enjoyed individually or with others, this cake is flourless and gluten-free, making it melt-in-your-mouth and creamy.

Where can you enjoy Limousin (chestnut fondant cake)?

You can find Limousin in several places, enough to delight your taste buds!

  • On the Maison Pascalain online store, delivered anywhere in France.
  • At the Feytiat store, open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 7pm and Saturday from 9:30am to 6pm.
  • At Les Halles centrales de Limoges at the “Trip & Cie” stand, Wednesday to Sunday, 7am to 2pm.
  • At local markets: Isle on Wednesdays, Eymoutiers on Thursdays, Aixe-sur-Vienne and Saint-Yirieix-la-Perche on Fridays and Panazol on Sundays.

Conservation

The Limousin can be stored for several days under vacuum (3 weeks shelf-life) between 0°C and 4°C.
