La Croisille-sur-Briance

The 19km“le tour du Mont Gargan” circuit at La Croisille-sur-Briance invites you to explore a protected natural area within the Parc Naturel Régional de Millevaches en Limousin. 🌿

Open your eyes, at the top of Mont Gargan, culminating at 731 meters, you’ll be rewarded with a vast panorama of the Limousin mountains and the Massif des Monédières. 🌳

Along the way, don’t miss thechurch of Saint Thyrse ⛪ a veritable historical gem. Overlooking the Gartempe valley, it dates from the 11th and 12th centuries and boasts a rare Benedictine plan with a chevet of five chapels. Restored after the ravages of the Hundred Years’ War, its defensive architecture and Gothic details bear witness to a troubled era.
