Carnivore fishing spotWith a surface area of almost 1,000 ha, Lac de Vassivière, at an altitude of 650 m, is the first of 8 dams built on the Maulde. Classified as a 2nd category lake, it is well stocked with cyprinids (roach, bream) and carnivorous fish (perch, pike-perch, pike). Fishing by boat, float-tube, kayak or canoe is authorized in compliance with navigation regulations.
2. Lac de Saint-Pardoux
At Lac de Saint-Pardoux, classified as a 2nd category lake, Anse de Puyperier is the place to be for all forms of fishing. It is renowned for its pike-perch and black-bass fishing. The Fréaudour and Villebert coves, meanwhile, are renowned for pike and perch.

5. The Vienne at Limoges
Graciation courseGraciation course is located on the 2nd category Vienne river in the Limoges city’s. It stretches from Pont Saint-Etienne to Pont Saint-Martial, i.e. 2 km of banks. Carnivorous fish must be released on this course.
