2. Lac de Saint-Pardoux
A mischievous and generous natureLac de Saint-Pardoux is one of the Haute-Vienne’s major tourist attractions… And it’s also a real Eldorado for anglers in the heart of an unspoilt natural site in the Limousin!
Classified as a second category lake, its 330 hectares are home to an interesting population of pike, as well as other carnivorous fish and cyprinids: pike-perch, black-bass, perch, rotengle, tench…
The Fréaudour and Villebert coves are the best-known spots for finding the finest specimens of pike on Lac de Saint-Pardoux. We look forward to seeing the photos of your best catches!
3. Rénier pond
A pond dedicated to predator fishingLocated in the commune of Saint-Pardoux, just a stone’s throw from the aforementioned lake of the same name, lies the Étang Rénier!
It’s a not-to-be-missed spot for any angler wishing to tackle pike in Limousin! This 9-hectare lake is specially dedicated to carnivore fishing. This fishing reservoir is accessible to all holders of fishing cards with the Carnadrome or Specialized Courses option.
Fly fishing, lure fishing, spinning or casting rods, float-tube… it’s up to you to choose your weapons and come and face the king of predators in Haute-Vienne!
The little extra? In total freedom, this site is open all year round.
4. Vienne River
Naturally pleasant and attractiveThe Vienne is a river renowned for the quality of its water and the presence of numerous species of fish. This river in the Limousin is particularly well-suited to pike and other predators.
Here are our favorite spots on the Vienne for pike fishing:
- In Limoges, between the Saint-Etienne and Saint-Martial bridges: 2 km of bank in the heart of Limoges between the two historic bridges over the Vienne.
- In Saint-Junien from the island of Chaillac sur Vienne at the confluence of the Glane.
- In Palais sur Vienne, at the 45-hectare dam lake.
- At Saint-Léonard de Noblat, upstream of the Moulin de Beaufort.
- At Saint-Brice sur Vienne
- In Aixe-sur-Vienne
All fishing techniques are possible: from the shore, in a float-tube, fishing with natural baits, with a long rod, with an English rod or with a feeder… you’ll love fishing for pike on the Vienne!
5. Lac de Sainte-Hélène
Bujaleuf Fishing StationLac de Sainte-Hélène in Bujaleuf is a peaceful stretch of water on the Maulde river much appreciated by nature sportsenthusiasts… and anglers in particular!
Classified as a 2nd category lake and covering 56 hectares, this Limousin lake is a real paradise for pike and other predatory fish: pike-perch, perch, black-bass…
The lake also has a ” Family” course for the very young.
