We’re taking a little getaway to Corrèze (but so close to our own Haute-Vienne). Ségur-le-Château is decked out in its finest decorations, and invites you to discover or rediscover its charming little streets and heritage! 🌟

The Christmas market welcomes you to the heart of the village for a moment of escape, indulgence and conviviality on Saturday 21 December. Father Christmas will be on hand all day to add a little magic to the hearts of the little ones ❤️🎅🏻

6. The edges of the Lac de Saint-Pardoux

Relax and recharge, now that’s a great programme for the Christmas holidays! 👌

Whether before, during or after the festive season, there’s nothing like a good walk in a sublime setting to clear your head and rekindle your energy! So grab your rucksack, your hiking boots, and head out for a tour of the Lac de Saint-Pardoux. 🌿

24 km of pure pleasure await you, between water, mountains and forests… Take a breath, you’re in the heart of our beautiful Haute-Vienne! ✨

💚 Our favourite moment: early in the morning, at sunrise, when the mist floats over the lake for a suspended moment out of time… 🧘

7. The park that makes children dream

A castle and lots of animals to delight young and old… it’s fair to say that Reynou Park and Zoo is a bit like our Haut-Viennois Disneyland. ✨🦒🦁

Follow the trail to discover no fewer than 600 animals that will take you on a journey to 5 continents! Lions, giraffes, polar bears, snow leopards, wolves and many more welcome you to this must-see place, which also works to protect species.

🎁 And if you want to offer an unforgettable experience, your little budding adventurer can become a “soigneur for a day”: 4 hours of pure bliss with the animals, accompanied by an animal soigneur. 🤩

8. The Monts de Blond by dog sled

🌲 Taking a walk in the Monts de Blond is a good idea… but exploring them with a dog sled is even better! And yes, this activity that you might think is reserved for snow-covered landscapes can be practised in the wild, even without its white coat. With the festive season just around the corner, this walk will give the Monts de Blond the feel of a Christmas tale, which you’ll discover in a whole new way. If you love thrills, nature and dogs, there’s no doubt you’re going to love it!

Throughout December, take a guided tour of theLimoges Tourist Office. Whether you’re just passing through or a local, this tour will put stars in your eyes, and teach you a ray (of light!) about our beautiful city. 🤩

Its history, heritage and monuments illuminated by the magic of Christmas will no longer hold any secrets for you! ✨

10. Rochechouart, that nugget!

☄️ A story about a meteorite, a magnificent castle on top of a hill, charming cobbled streets, all set in the heart of pretty countryside… yes this place does exist and deserves your diversions this festive season! 🏰

As you stroll through the centre, you’ll be able to take advantage of the Christmas craft exhibition, where producers and artisans will be offering handmade items to put under the Christmas tree! 🎄

Then enter its magnificent 15th-century château, home to the Haute-Vienne Museum of Contemporary Art. You can’t leave without stopping off at the Maison de la Réserve to see a permanent exhibition that takes you back… 200 million years ago, when the famous asteroid ended its course on the site of the town.
