Sage (Salvia officinalis), a natural tonic with a thousand uses, lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), renowned for its soothing properties, or yarrow (Achillea millefolium), an outstanding anti-inflammatory… These plants, among many others, are waiting for you at the l’or des simples botanical garden.
The master of this garden, Laurent Pasteur, will accompany you on this discovery by telling you about the specific features of his aromatic and medicinal plants.

The laboratory and the shop

Laurent Pasteur opens the doors to his veritable plant laboratory, just a stone’s throw from the garden. Here, no white coats, but shelves full of glass jars, a warm atmosphere and the subtle scents of aromatic plants drying.

All the plants he harvests come directly from the botanical garden, carefully picked when ripe, then dried naturally, in optimal conditions to preserve their aromas and properties.

Once ready, these plants are hand-packed in kraft sachets – a concentrate of Limousin to take home. Laurent also offers herbal teas, hydrolats, incense, coulis, jellies and honeys.

Through his cueillettes and his meticulous work, this astonishing herbalist perpetuates an ancestral knowledge and invites you to a sensory rediscovery of the plants of our countryside.
