Trained as a fashion designer at the Lycée Suzanne Valadon in Limoges, Marie Duvert has had a keen sense of materials and colors, combined with an artistic soul, since her earliest childhood. The designer is an eternal dreamer. She never leaves home without her notepad, “her inseparable companion”. Full of life, she wants to breathe a breath of freedom, optimism and imagination into her creations.

Very attached to her family, her four grandparents have given her the essence of her identity: the love of jewelry of an ever-elegant paternal grandmother. The artistic soul and passion for color of her maternal grandmother, an artist in her own right. A constant search for novelties and techniques from her maternal grandfather, a tanner in Bellac who invented the ‘Veau velours’ in association with the prestigious Hermès house. Finally, the passion of his grandfather, a winegrower not far from Bergerac in the Dordogne, who gave the Duvert name to the brand. All it took was a piece of jewelry with strikingly colored pearls at a flea market in Limousin, and the story began…

Unique jewels

Created in 2009 by its eponymous designer, the MarieDuvert brand offers a range of high-fashion jewelry in 24-carat gold-plated brass (champagne gold) or rhodium-plated silver. The designer regularly uses different materials and techniques, such as the inclusion of flowers in resin, mixed with gilded metal. Every year, two collections are launched, with a different theme and some forty new models.

The pieces are identifiable by their sophisticated, graphic and timeless design. All models are imagined and designed by the designer. Each piece is the fruit of the work of craftsmen – welders, gilders, etc. – whose common goal is a taste for quality. The utmost care is given to each MarieDuvert jewel, which becomes a singular object to make your own.

The big news this year is the opening of the “design studio”. Comprising a workshop and a showroom, it is located at 6 rue d’Isly in Limoges (between Place Jourdan and the Champ de Juillet), and is open to the public by appointment.
