The mountain bike base is on the Chabannes site. Helmets are provided with your rental. For your own safety, they must be worn. To make sure you don't get lost along the way, don't forget to take along the topo fiche du tour du Lac. It is available at the Chabannes center or at the Maison du Lac. This is the same route as the Tour du Lac hiking trail (7 km linking the 3 sites), with a few variations designed specifically for mountain bikes! If you're on a mountain bike, you can also take advantage of the cycle paths between Fréaudour and Chabannes to access all 3 sites on the lake. In addition to the fifty or so mountain bikes available for hire, electric mountain bikes are also available. An invaluable aid for tackling the steep paths of the Lac! Open from Easter to the end of September.
