Situated 20km from Limoges, the commune owes its name to a hermit who, according to legend, lived in the forest on the banks of the Vienne in the so-called tenebrous valley in the 5th century. Located on the banks of the Vienne, the leisure center offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including canoeing, climbing, archery and orienteering. A number of hiking trails allow you to discover the many assets of this village, as well as a Terra Aventura zinzin course.
Special sites: the 13th-century church, a number of private houses such as the Maison Dony, the Villa des Pins and several other villas from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The old hospital, with its Renaissance facade (1564) and mullioned windows, the Château du Loubier and many other buildings along the lanes are also worth a visit.
