From the top of its hill, it dominates the village of Vicq sur Breuilh. The current building was erected in the first quarter of the 16th century and completed in 1515 by Jean de Salagnac, prothonotary of the Holy See, with some remarkable Renaissance features.
The Old Château is surrounded by a moat, protected by the old farm buildings, and stands majestically at the far end of the courtyard. Concerts and exhibitions are held here throughout the year.
