Trompe-l'oeil Cobaty

The fresco on Place de la Motte is a tribute to the history of the district and the town. The fresco's remarkable integration into the surrounding environment features architectural details such as half-timbering and the color of granite. We're reminded of the great fire of 1864, of Auguste Renoir, born in Limoges, of the motte féodale and its ponds, of the city's monetary workshop, and of more current events such as the basketball epic or the jazz festival!
