The Pont de la Gabie was built in 1865, partly using the stones remaining from the piers of the old bridge located some 200 meters downstream, which was used by the great Roman road from Lyon to Saintes.
Built by Charles Trote, a contractor from Romorantin, it comprises 7 arches in local granite.
