Built in the mid-19th century from local granite. It is dry-stone masonry, i.e. built without any binding materials such as mortar or cob. It has 2 functions: the first floor was used as a temporary shelter for the shepherd, to protect him from the vagaries of the weather. Inside is a fireplace. The 1st floor is a covered apiary. Flat stones in front of each opening were used to place ?bournats?, Limousin hives, to protect the bees from the dampness of the ground.
