Huge erratic boulders, the Rochers de Puychaud mark the symbolic boundary between the Oc and Oïl languages. They are part of the Circuit des Mégalithes.
They have inspired many legends. Locals say that the largest of the rocks opens up on Christmas Eve, revealing a cave full of treasures.
On one of the rocks, a plaque celebrates Frédéric Mistral, writer and lexicographer whose work rehabilitated the langue d'Oc.
