The Plaizentins are named after local artist Dominique PLAIZE, who lives in Ségur le Château. You'll find these little characters on some of the village's facades. Each character has a name ending in "in" or "ine". The "Plaizentins" are a registered trademark. Every year, new characters appear on the corners of windows and doors.
