This square lantern, 6.50 m high and Romanesque in style, is made up of hollow granite pillars, with a niche at the top in which a flame was hoisted to light eternity, helping the souls of the departed to find their way. Most date from the 12th century and are located in cemeteries. There are 7 in Haute-Vienne.
