It was built in two stages: first a basin, then an elevation, so that animals could drink from it during fairs. It dates from the interwar period, after the schools. The fairground was a lively place for livestock fairs. We still have evidence of the fairs of yesteryear in the form of the iron bars used to tie up the cattle.
