This church was built in Lastours in 1488 on the site of the ancient motte castrale belonging to the Lastours family. There was a wooden castle, then a stone one, the ruins of which can still be seen today. Because of the terrain, it was not built in the traditional sense, i.e. facing the rising sun, but in a north-north-east direction. It was restored in 1827 and a sacristy added at the same time.
