Founded close to the castle, the church had the castle's curacy as a branch. Parts of the Romanesque church have survived intact, and appear to date back to the 11th century. It is a single-nave building with a rectangular floor plan, cut into the apse to form a pentagonal sanctuary. Two more recent side chapels adjoin the north and south walls. The nave is vaulted with a low cob ceiling. The capitals of the nave are molded with a triple quarter-round, a motif common in the 11th century. An octagonal bell tower stands at the west end of the nave.
