Château de Saint Auvent

The XII-XVII-XVIIIth century Château de Saint-Auvent belonged to the Rochechouart family and is listed as a Monument Historique. Surrounded by a park with remarkable trees, home to countless birds, the château is located in a listed site, at the entrance to the tourist village of Saint-Auvent, in the heart of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Nature Park. It is a venue for international contemporary art exhibitions. Every summer, Les Rencontres Internationales d?Art Contemporain take place at the château, welcoming hundreds of artists since 1996.
