Description
Château de la Brégère, the centerpiece of a former farming estate, is a 15th-century fortified house located 7 km from Saint-Yrieix. Its appearance and defensive features - keep, bartizans, gun ports - perfectly illustrate the history of a modest Limousin seigniorial dynasty. Restored by the town of Saint-Yrieix, the château is now open to visitors. A temporary exhibition is held every summer.
