Château de Bonneval overlooks the village of Coussac. It occupied an important strategic position. A first building already existed in 930. It was rebuilt in the 14th century, then altered in the 18th century. It is a quadrilateral structure flanked by four large round towers, surrounded by a moat. It has belonged to the Bonneval family for over ten centuries.
Highlights include the eastern facade, with its central square tower and double drawbridge; the inner courtyard, decorated with a Renaissance colonnaded gallery; and the elegant western facade and terrace. The château is home to a wealth of furniture and tapestries from Aubusson and Fontainebleau. Throughout the year, you'll find a full program of events (conferences, concerts, theater shows, children's workshops...). Rental available for weddings, receptions, seminars...)
