A pumptrack is a closed bike course with a succession of round bumps (rollerblades) and sharp turns, possibly with table jumps or transfers. The basic idea is that you never pedal. We use the movements of the ground to pump thanks to the action of the arms and the legs (flexion/extension), but also the displacements of the center of gravity related to the antero-posterior balance, i.e. the action to pass the buttocks behind the saddle then to draw on the arms to bring back the body in front....
