The Marie-José Pérec indoor track and field stadium at Cheops 87, south of Limoges, was recently inaugurated in the presence of three-time Olympic champion Marie-José Pérec.
This modern 8,400 m² complex pays tribute to a legend of French sport, while offering top-level facilities: a 200 m oval with raised bends (6 lanes), a 60 m straight with 8 lanes, and areas for jumps and throws.
A warm-up area completes the set-up, with a 120 m straight (4 lanes), jumping zones and a cage for hammer and discus training.
The project was co-financed by the Haute-Vienne department, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and the Agence nationale du sport. It marks a new stage in the development of athletics in the region.
