Looking for a fishing break in the heart of nature? Welcome to the Etang de la Planche, a 2.5-hectare communal lake classified as a PVT, just 500 m from the village of Sauviat-sur-Vige. In this shady, rural setting, take the time to unwind between two casts. Pike, roach and beautiful carp up to 10 kg populate the pond. Five rainbow trout releases punctuate the season: March 21, April 4 and 25, May 14 and 30 (fishing prohibited the day before). Open from March 14 to October 31. Shore fishing only, 2 rods maximum per angler and fishing permit required. Benches, picnic tables and a walk around the lake also invite families to enjoy this corner of nature in the Limousin region, 13 km from Saint-Léonard de Noblat. Nearby, children can also enjoy excursions into the peaceful and mysterious Epagne forest with the Terra Aventura geocaching game.
